Hello World.  As most of us sit in our living rooms watching TV or browsing the web with our RSS readers looking for our favorite sports stories, we cannot help but notice the proliferation of show-up-and-throw-up sports reporting in conventional news media.  Rarely does real human opinion, uncontaminated by ‘expert’ sports editors makes its way to ESPN news reports or Sports Illustrated articles.  While it is true that many blogs like DeadSpin and FireJoeMorgan have taken it upon themselves to carry unadulterated sports stories on the web, they too have started to sound like the corporate goliaths they were once supposed to slay.DeepSlant

In our collective experience of having been sports fans for 45+ years - that is 15+ years each for the three of us (what? like you don’t utilize this technique on your resumes), we have realized that the best conversations flow when we hang out and discuss sports candidly over a beer or two, rarely trying to mask our real opinions. So here we are on this little web site of ours - determined to defy conventional sports myths, hell-bent upon commenting on anything and everything that is cliche, and motivated enough by the hope that at least some of you will recognize brutal honesty when you see it. Suggestions are welcome, criticism is requested and praise much appreciated.

This has been a test post.  Deepslant.com - a 3E venture.
